Not sure if this really qualifies as an app, but its given me an opportunity to play around with the Iphone API for web based applications.

So this app is based upon a regular requirement that I have with my son. You see he is a rather loud child. I'm not sure why or wherefore, but since the first time he yelled at us several seconds after being born we were aware that he is "blessed" with an extradinary set of lungs. This is all well and good, and I wish him the best of luck finding a way to put them to use for the good of society. I do my best to allow him to use them as he sees fit regularly. However sometimes its just too much, and I have to remind him a bunch of times in a row to use his inside voice.

I would like to make an app that I can pull up on my Iphone and set an acceptable noise level (1-10 scale).
There can perhaps be some little meter jumping up and down for i candy based upon room noise. Whenever the meter goes over a the set volume limit, the (silent) alarm will trip and the screen will go red. That way I can use the alarm as a good bribery tool, saying okay if you want to get chocolate milk before bed tonight you have to keep this alarm from getting red while I am on the telephone. If you don't use your inside voice its going to change red, and no chocolate milk for you.
